Eat well.

If sleep techniques don't work, there are over-the-counter aides or your doctor can prescribe a sleeping aide.
- Since every drug has risks, and drugs can interact negatively, it is preferable not to take a new drug, even an over-the-counter one, without checking with your doctor or his/her office.
- If you ask for a sleeping aide, find out whether it is likely to become addictive. Some sleeping aides which could become addictive are not likely to if only taken for a short period of time.
