Automobile Insurance: The Different Coverages
Emergency Roadside Assistance
Next » « Previous11/14
Covers roadside emergency services such as:
- Towing
- Gasoline (where allowed)
- "Lock-out" service if you lock your keys in the car, or
-
Changing of a flat tire.
If you have a relatively new car, your automobile manufacturer may provide this coverage. It may also be included with your credit card.
If emergency roadside assistance isn't covered under either, compare the cost and benefits of coverage under an auto policy to that of an automobile club, such as the American Automobile Association (www.aaa.com ).
